Good Frug/Bad Frug

I must write in response to the two people who wrote scathing remarks concerning Jeff Smith, “The Frugal Gourmet,” in the Food section’s letters column (Dec. 26).

Jeff has one of the most entertaining food-cooking shows in the country. He gives us the history of either the dish he is preparing or of the particular spice he is using, and he takes us to some of those places I will never go.

He is charming, delightful and very much a personality. I love his shows and never miss one if I can help it. I hope KCET never stops showing his absolutely wonderful show. My family, including my young grandson, loves him. He is for all ages!
