A 21-year-old baby-sitter pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the death of a 10-month-old in her care.
Karen Amy Drouillard pleaded guilty Wednesday, just five days before her trial was scheduled to begin. She had been charged with murder in the incident, which occurred in El Cajon.
Lizzabeth Rosado died Sept. 23 from to trauma to her head, according to testimony from a pathologist at Drouillard’s preliminary hearing.
Drouillard faces a possible six years in prison when she is sentenced by Superior Court Judge Charles Hayes on March 11.
