Cole Has Soul: Pop singer Natalie Cole, whose album of her father Nat’s hits, “Unforgettable,” was one of last year’s surprise hits, is a leading nominee for the Soul Train Awards, which will be presented March 10 at the Shrine Auditorium. The nominations for the sixth annual ceremonies, announced Thursday at the Beverly Hills Hotel, include four for Cole as well as four each for Boyz II Men and Jodeci--both new R&B; vocal groups that struck it rich with their debut albums. The winners in 12 categories encompassing rhythm and blues, rap, gospel and jazz will be announced in a two-hour, nationally syndicated telecast.
