Beaming Up: The USA Network will launch the Sci-Fi Channel this fall, a 24-hour cable network featuring science-fiction, fantasy and classic horror programming. It will begin with a prime-time presentation of “Star Wars,” and will regularly air the “Star Trek” movies, episodes of “Dark Shadows” and the British series “Dr. Who.”
