Song Angst: Jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis, who takes over May 25 as musical director of NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” wrote a new theme song for the show, but he’s not crazy about it. “It’s not listed in my top 20 favorite songs, but it suits the purpose,” he said. Marsalis, 31, replaces Doc Severinsen when Jay Leno replaces Johnny Carson.
