Orange Coast 6, Rancho Santiago 2--Dusty Wathan and Darren Blink homered to support Chad Rolish’s seven-hitter at Rancho Santiago. Daniel Hernandez was four for five and scored once for the Pirates (13-9, 7-8).

Riverside 9, Golden West 8--Riverside (20-7, 11-4) scored three in the bottom of the eighth to take a 9-6 lead and hung on to win its seventh consecutive game and move a game ahead of Rancho Santiago in first place. Marty Osborne hit a two-run home in the top of the ninth for Golden West (12-13-1, 5-10).
