A Van Nuys resident was arrested Friday in the death of a 35-year-old man who was shot in the abdomen in the carport of a Glendale apartment complex, authorities said.
Michael Saiid Zadeh was being held in Glendale City Jail on suspicion of murder, said Glendale Police Sgt. Lief Nicolaisen. The shooting, which police said stemmed from “an ongoing family dispute,” occurred about 1 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Verdugo Road.
The victim was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, where he died early Friday. Police were withholding the victim’s name Friday until his family could be notified.
Officers seized a shotgun, which was believed to be the murder weapon, Nicolaisen said.
