A 53-year-old woman was killed early Monday when her car careened through a guardrail and flipped over, police said.
Charlotte J. Bolcen of Lemon Grove was driving north on California 125 near Grossmont Boulevard about 12:30 a.m. when she lost control of her car and slammed through a metal guardrail, El Cajon police spokesman Bob Melton said.
The car rolled down an embankment and Bolcen, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, Melton said. She suffered massive head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Melton said.
