GETTING DIGNITY: For years, Juvenile Court in Orange County has been housed in a hodgepodge of trailers and prefab buildings near Juvenile Hall in Orange. But the new Betty Lou Lamoreaux Juvenile Justice Center next door will soon be in full operation (B1), and county Chief Probation Officer Michael Schumacher is delighted. . . . “It befits the dignity of the process,” Schumacher says. “Before, it looked like a temporary encampment that might any day pick up its wheels and take off.”
