SIMI VALLEY : Madera Off-Ramp to Be Closed 3 Days
- Share via
Simi Valley motorists are advised to avoid the westbound Madera Road off-ramp on the Simi Valley Freeway today through Friday because of ongoing construction work, officials said.
The off-ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday, said George Berg, a city traffic engineer. Road crews will be completing work on the widening of the Madera Road overpass, he said.
Commuters are urged to use the First Street off-ramp instead.
The Madera Road and Simi Valley interchange is undergoing a $4.6-million renovation that includes construction of a new westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp.
The road work, conducted by Simi Valley-based C.A. Rasmussen Inc., is expected to be completed in July, Berg said.
