Private Versus Public Schools

I believe the idea “education with a conscience” (March 29) is of vital importance for all of our futures.
Your article did not mention the Waldorf School method; it is the largest and fastest growing non-sectarian school system in the world! Waldorf believes in educating the head, heart and hands so as to create a scholastically and emotionally well-rounded human being.
Waldorf schools have consistently produced excellent students with higher than average SAT test scores. Too often we focus on test results so completely, the result is lopsided, unhappy and unhealthy adults. Waldorf’s educational style stimulates lifelong learning. Academics, arts, languages, music, practical life and athletics are offered to all classes and cultures.
