Glendale
South Brand Boulevard, 1200 block--Eight doors, valued at $5,840, were stolen from Jeeps in the lot of Glendale Jeep & Eagle dealership on April 1 or 2. At the same location, officials reported that someone stole rims and tires, valued at $1,600, from a Jeep on April 2 or 3.
East Elk Avenue, 200 block--A burglar tried to pry open a bathroom window of a home at 1:06 p.m. April 2 but fled when an audible alarm, which had been installed two days earlier, sounded.
South Brand Boulevard, 1000 block-A gas station owner reported $1,284 missing and, because there was no sign of forced entry, said an employee with a key probably was responsible for the theft, which occurred April 2 or 3.
South Central Avenue, 1300 block--A bank robber armed with what was believed to be a replica of a handgun, fled Wells Fargo Bank with about $11,700 cash at 11 a.m. April 4 after presenting a demand note.
Cosmic Way, 1700 block--Thieves broke glass in the door of a business at 7:19 p.m. April 4 to gain entry and stole a typewriter and two telephones of undetermined value. La Canada
Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 2200 block--Burglars broke into Pier 1 Imports on April 3 or 4 and stole $1,955.49 from a safe. Police believe the thieves knew the combination.
Knight Way, 400 block--Thieves smashed a window at a school between March 28 and 30 and stole a computer, printer and two stereos, valued together at $775.
Montrose
Orangedale Drive, 3900 block--The back door of a home was pried open between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. March 30, and $3,500 in cash, a pistol and jewelry valued at $1,830 were stolen.
Eagle Rock
La Loma Road, 1000 block--Five men followed a woman from a bus stop and tried to take her purse at 10:20 p.m. March 30 but were chased away by a witness.
Lincoln Avenue, 5100 block--Jewelry and precious metals, valued at $2,450, were stolen from a home between 5:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 1.
Colorado Boulevard, 1700 block--Thieves possibly used a pass key to enter a fast-food restaurant on April 1 or 2. They took stole money and a television valued together at $2,960.
Stratford Road, 4900 block--Burglars smashed a kitchen window of a home between 10 and 10:30 a.m. April 2 and stole jewelry and a stereo valued at $1,380.
Echo Park
Everett Street, 900 block--Tools and auto parts valued at $1,195 were stolen from a home and toolshed between 6:45 and 10:30 p.m. March 31.
Sunset Boulevard, 1300 block--Two men kicked open the door of an apartment at 11 p.m. April 1, held a gun to the head of one occupant and handcuffed the other, then stole money and credit cards valued at $1,500.
Echo Park Avenue, 1600 block--A thief entered a nursing home and stole $2,930 cash from a resident’s drawer on April 3 or 4.
Glassell Park
San Fernando Road, 3200 block--Thieves smashed a window of an office on March 31 or April 1 and stole computer equipment valued at $4,000.
Fletcher Drive and Avenue 34--A man reportedly forced a woman to smoke PCP, drove her to a motel and then raped her while she was unconscious on March 31.
San Fernando Road, 3100 block--A customer at a restaurant ordered coffee and then pulled out a gun and fled with $80 at 4:40 p.m. April 2.
Fletcher Drive, 3800 block--A TV and video equipment valued at $2,500 were stolen from a church on April 3 or 4.
Highland Park
North Figueroa Street, 6400 block--Thieves smashed a window at a high school gym between March 27 and 30 and stole sporting goods valued at $4,721.
East Avenue 43, 100 block--Industrial equipment, valued at $20,200, was stolen from a garment factory on March 31 or April 1 by thieves who entered the facility through roof vents.
Bridewell Street, 600 block--A dog valued at $650 was stolen from a yard at 6:30 p.m. March 31.
El Paso Drive and Eagle Rock Boulevard--A purse containing $217 was snatched from a woman as she left a bus at 1:50 p.m. April 3.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4200 block--A person on a sidewalk was robbed at gunpoint of $345 cash at 12:45 a.m. April 5.
Atwater
Glendale Boulevard, 3100 block--Jewelry and money, valued together at $11,750, were taken from a person by an assailant who pushed the victim to the ground at 11:25 a.m. March 31.
Los Feliz
Griffith Park Boulevard, 2900 block--A man was robbed of a wallet containing $190 cash at 1 a.m. March 30 by two men with a handgun.
Tracy Street, 3900 block--A dog valued at $1,000 was stolen from a yard between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. March 30.
Glencairn Road, 4800 block--Two burglars trying to remove a screen at a house were arrested at 6:45 p.m. March 30.
Rowena Avenue, 3300 block--Dinnerware and pottery valued at $2,650 were stolen from a garage between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m April 1.
North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--Two robbers armed with a handgun forced bank customers to the floor and fled with $2,900 from a teller’s station at 10 a.m. April 2.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3100 block--A bar employee was robbed at gunpoint of $1,777 by a man at 1:45 a.m. April 4.
Hollywood
Fountain and Westmoreland avenues--A man in a car blocked a person on a bicycle, pointed a revolver at the victim and took the bicycle, valued at $290, at 2:45 p.m. March 30.
North Vermont Avenue, 1500 block--Supplies and equipment valued at $14,000 were stolen from a hospital on April 1 or 2.
Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue--A woman reported that eight young men kidnaped her at gunpoint at 7:30 p.m. April 4, forced her into their car and raped her repeatedly until she escaped when the car stopped at a traffic light.
Silver Lake
Glendale Boulevard, 2400 block--Armed with a submachine gun and a knife, two robbers forced bank employees and customers to the floor and made off with $875 at 3:30 p.m. March 30.
North Glendale Boulevard, 1800 block--Two thieves, armed with a revolver, jumped over the front counter of a business, struggled with employees and took $420 from the register at 9:45 p.m. March 30.
Westerly Terrace, 1500 block--A thief entered a home at gunpoint and robbed the occupant of $400 in cash and credit cards on March 31.
Apex Avenue, 2000 block--Computer and video equipment valued at $1,800 were stolen from an apartment between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. March 31.
Brier Avenue, 2200 block--Burglars pried open a window of a home between 9:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 1 and stole jewelry and video equipment valued at $9,550.
Hyperion Avenue, 2700 block--A woman in a parking facility at 7 p.m. April 4 was robbed of her purse, containing $150.
