Iran has agreed to buy from North Korea 150 ballistic missiles described as “terror weapons” with a greater range than the Scud missiles Iraq launched during the Persian Gulf War, U.S. officials said. A U.S. arms expert said the Korean-designed Nodong-1 missiles are “terror weapons” rather than militarily useful ones because they are inherently imprecise and would typically be used against cities rather than military targets.
