SMALL FACES: The Ramones, after 16 years (!) on Sire Records, have signed with Radioactive, the MCA-distributed label owned by the band’s manager, Gary Kurfirst. The group has finished its first Radioactive album, which will be in stores in the summer. A live album, the last for Sire, was released last week. . . .
English band XTC--which hasn’t appeared in concert since 1982, when singer Andy Partridge collapsed from stage fright and exhaustion at a Paris show--will do a live show for an MTV telecast in July or August. The group’s “Nonsuch” album, recorded with former Elton John producer Gus Dudgeon, will be released on April 28.
