Matthews Unit Agrees to Buy Centerline Assets

Matthews Studio Equipment Group in Burbank said its Hollywood Rental Co. unit has tentatively agreed to buy nearly all of the rental assets of Centerline Stage & Studio Lighting Inc. of Tempe, Ariz., for $500,000.

The newly acquired assets would continue to be managed by their current owner, Martin L. Abramson. The equipment includes generators, lights, bulbs, carts, vehicles and grip-camera and lighting support equipment, said Matthews, which sells and rents production equipment to the movie and television industries.
