Three High School Baseball Players Make Oral Commitments to Fullerton

FULLERTON — Katella High School first baseman/outfielder Kyle Evans, El Dorado catcher Brian Loyd and San Diego Vista shortstop Aaron Rounsifer have made oral commitments to play baseball at Cal State Fullerton. They said they will sign national letters of intent this week.
Evans, an All-Empire League selection last season, entered the week batting .341 with five home runs, 13 runs batted in and 11 runs scored. Loyd, also an All-Empire League pick in 1991, has five doubles and five stolen bases and has scored 13 runs this season.
Rounsifer, who is batting .405 with 12 RBIs in 11 games this season, has been told by Titan coaches that he will likely play third base in college. He hit .380 with seven homers and 37 RBIs as a junior.
