PACOIMA : Lease Supported for Hangars Site
- Share via
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved leasing about half an acre of vacant land at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima for construction of aircraft storage hangars.
The land will be leased for 20 years to Peter F. Hartmann, initially for $785 a month, with the amount adjusted annually based on the consumer price index. Every five years it will be readjusted based on the fair market value of land.
In a report to the board, the Department of Public Works said Whiteman needs more hangar space but the county was unable to complete a hangar-construction project because of county budget cuts.
