The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between April 6 and 12:
Glendale
Arden Avenue, 400 block--A fax machine valued at $1,000 and a typewriter valued at $200 were reported stolen from an office between March 31 and April 8.
San Fernando Road and Glendale Avenue--A man was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property April 9, after police found a stolen stereo and tools used in auto burglaries in his car.
East Cypress Street, 700 block--A home was burglarized during the day April 10. A VCR, video game system and stereo were reported stolen.
Hillcroft Road, 1000 block--Thieves pried open a garage door between 3:30 and 9:45 p.m. April 11 and stole a $500 car stereo and a bicycle.
Linden Avenue, 1000 block--A resident scared away two prowlers at 11:10 p.m. April 11 after hearing noises and walking outside to investigate. A patio chair had been moved to under a window of the apartment.
Foothill Boulevard, 3200 block--A woman in a parking lot of a grocery store was robbed at gunpoint of her purse, which contained $80 cash, a gold bracelet and two antique wristwatches, at 12:25 a.m. April 11.
Western Avenue, 300 block--The louvered windows of an occupied apartment were removed, and a night stand and dresser were ransacked at 2:30 a.m. April 11 before police arrived and the burglars fled.
East Broadway, 800 block--Burglars broke a window of a business about 4 a.m. April 13 and stole a computer monitor, computer and keyboard.
La Canada Flintridge
Orange Knoll Avenue, 4600 block--A compact disc player, compact discs, clothing, a camera and camera equipment valued together at $2,160 were stolen from a home during the day April 8.
Hampstead Road, 4000 block--A thief reached into an open car window and took two purses while a woman was sitting in the driver’s seat in a driveway at 9:40 p.m. April 9. One of the purses contained $200 cash.
La Crescenta
Mary Street, 2600 block--A .357 revolver and a 9-mm pistol valued together at $760 were stolen from a home between April 2 and 9.
Briggs Avenue, 5000 block--Forty gold chains and 50 watchbands valued together at $1,400 were reported stolen from a home between 5:52 and 6:10 p.m. April 9.
Foothill Boulevard, 2600 block--The glass front door of a gas station was smashed and about 20 cartons of cigarettes valued at $310 were stolen at 4:25 a.m. April 10.
Atwater
Estara Avenue and Drew Street--Three men accosted a motorist at 2:30 a.m. April 7, placed a sharp object on his neck and took $38.
Eagle Rock Boulevard and Crestmoore Place--A pedestrian was assaulted by three men and robbed of a necklace valued at $350 at 8 p.m. April 7.
Ripple Street and Worthen Avenue--Two women and a man hit a woman and robbed her of her purse containing $45 at 6:25 p.m. April 8.
Fletcher Drive, 3200 block--Thieves broke the window of a business, smashed a hole through an adjacent garment factory’s drywall and stole industrial equipment valued at $91,000 April 9 or 10.
Riverside Drive, 2000 block--A garment factory was burglarized April 9 or 10 and industrial equipment valued at $3,075 was stolen.
San Fernando Road and Roswell Street--Two men offered a woman a ride in their car at 12:15 a.m. April 12. When she refused, they got out and snatched her purse, valued at $75.
Cypress Park
Idell Street, 2600 block--A market was held up at gunpoint at 4:40 p.m. April 6, and three men fled with $351 in money and liquor.
Eagle Rock
Range Road, 2700 block--Video equipment and jewelry valued at $675 were stolen from a home during the day April 6.
Medlow Avenue, 2700 block--A burglar entered a home, ransacked it and stole jewelry valued at $1,000 between 9 and 11:30 a.m. April 7. When the resident came home, the burglar said he had a gun and then fled.
North Figueroa Street, 7300 block--Two gunmen robbed a person in a parking facility of $100 at 10:10 p.m. April 8.
Colorado Street, 1900 block--A robber went into a mini-market, displayed a revolver and fled with $30 at 2:05 a.m. April 9.
Vincent Avenue, 5300 block--A stereo and video equipment valued at $1,850 were stolen from a home between 8:55 and 10:20 a.m. April 10.
Linda Rosa Avenue, 1300 block--A woman was robbed at gunpoint of her purse containing $40 at 9:20 p.m. April 10.
Echo Park
East College Street and Figueroa Terrace--A man in a car was forced to the ground at knifepoint by two men and robbed of a wallet containing $480 at 12:30 a.m. April 6.
Champlain Terrace, 1600 block--Jewelry and cameras valued at $800 were stolen from a home between 2:45 and 4:30 p.m. April 11.
Glassell Park
Fernleaf Street, 2400 block--Two men asked a person in an apartment to buy some jewelry, then forced their way into the apartment, pistol-whipped the occupant and took $38 at 11:36 a.m. April 9.
Highland Park
North Figueroa Street, 5900 block--Two robbers entered a liquor store at 7:45 p.m. April 7, pointed a revolver and took $500 worth of money and cigarettes.
North Avenue 63, 1000 block--Burglars removed a side window of a home and stole money and jewelry valued at $1,445 during the day April 8.
Arroyo Glen, 6300 block--Although confronted by a resident at 12:55 a.m. April 9, a burglar was able to flee a home with a stereo and jewelry valued at $1,680.
Los Feliz
Cumberland Avenue, 4100 block--Jewelry and precious metals valued at $8,000 were stolen from a home between April 5 and 7.
North Rodney Drive, 1900 block--Clothing and other property valued at $99,350 were stolen from an apartment by a thief with a key between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. April 6.
Los Feliz Place, 2800 block--A TV and video equipment valued at $1,700 were stolen from a commercial building between 5 and 7:30 p.m. April 7.
Waverly Drive, 3100 block--Thieves kicked open the rear door of a home, ransacked it and stole a shotgun and money valued at $1,400 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 7.
Tracy Street and Hyperion Avenue--A pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint of $55 at 12:20 a.m. April 10.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3200 block--Two men accosted a woman as she walked at 12:05 a.m. April 12 and took her purse, containing $785.
Edgemont Street and Hollywood Boulevard--A woman at a bus stop was robbed of her purse, which had $26 in it, at gunpoint at 5:30 a.m. April 12.
Silver Lake
North Dillon Street, 1700 block--Burglars removed the glass of a side door of a home, ransacked it and took jewelry valued at $2,150 during the day April 6.
Cerro Gordo Street, 2000 block--A home was burglarized and money and cameras valued at $1,310 were taken between April 6 and 8.
Loma Vista Place, 2300 block--Cameras, equipment, tapes and records valued at $900 were stolen from an apartment between April 6 and 9.
Ewing Street, 1500 block--Jewelry and a stereo valued at $4,200 were stolen from an apartment during the day April 10.
Riverside Drive and Allesandro Street--Two men pointed a bowie knife and stole $90 from a pedestrian at 4:25 p.m. April 12.
