ANAHEIM — Police arrested a 46-year-old Anaheim man Wednesday in connection with the attempted murders of two brothers in Garden Grove more than a decade ago.
Delfino Mendez Gutierrez was arrested at an Anaheim strawberry stand near Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue, said Lt. John Woods.
Gutierrez was wanted in the 1981 shootings of Adan H. Tirado, 45, and Ramon Tirado, 49, after a neighborhood argument.
The Tirado brothers survived the shootings, police said.
Investigators said they believed Gutierrez fled to Mexico for some time after the shooting.
Gutierrez was being held in Orange County Jail in Santa Ana in lieu of $125,000 bail.
