Microsoft Corp., buoyed by continued strong sales of its Windows program, said Thursday its profit climbed 44% in its most recent quarter.
The computer software giant said net income for the three months ended March 31 totaled $179 million, or 90 cents a share, up from $124 million, or 65 cents a share, in the same period of its fiscal 1991.
