Easter services and specials mark the holiday.
KTBN Channel 40 will televise the “1992 Hollywood Bowl Easter Sunrise Service” Sunday at 5 a.m. At 5:30 a.m., Channel 7 will carry “Hallelujah! He Lives: Easter Mass From Detroit” with Archbishop Moses B. Anderson conducting services at the Church of the Precious Blood.
Tonight at 8:30, CBS (2)(8) presents “Claymation Easter Special,” which tells of Wilshire Pig’s attempt to become the first Easter Pig. Easter bunnies might want to watch just to throw eggs at the screen.
“Walt Disney World Happy Easter Parade” begins Sunday at 9:30 a.m. on Channel 7. Regis Philbin and Joan Lunden host this telecast from Disney theme parks in Florida, Anaheim and France.
The Discovery Channel presents two documentaries of note Sunday. The first at 6 p.m., “An Empire Conquered,” traces the early days of Christianity in Rome. Then at 7 p.m., the cable channel premieres the first of a five-part series, “The Buried Mirror: Reflections on Spain and the New World.” The series continues nightly through Thursday.
