ORANGE — A woman and two children were struck by a car Friday night as they tried to cross a busy street, police said.
The woman and children, whose identities were not available, were taken to hospitals for treatment of fractures and possible internal injuries, said Battalion Chief Ray Montoya of the Orange County Fire Department.
Witnesses told firefighters that the woman was thrown about 40 feet after being hit by the car in the 8 p.m. accident at North Glassell Street and Quincy Avenue.
The conditions of the three victims were not reported, but police said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
