HE’S THEIR BOY: Kevin Costner is certainly the most prominent Cal State Fullerton graduate (Class of ‘78). Now he gets its top honor. In part for his “Dances With Wolves” directing Oscar, school officials will honor him with an invitation-only dinner May 4 as the 1992 Distinguished Alumnus. . . . “It’s not just for his career achievement,” says Harry Gianneschi, vice president for advancement. “The award goes to someone who reflects the university’s ideals.
