The Region : Transportation Forum Set

A panel of local officials is scheduled to discuss the future of transportation in the San Gabriel Valley on Saturday in West Covina.
Panelists will be Bradbury Councilwoman Beatrice Lapisto-Kirtley, who heads the transportation committee of the San Gabriel Valley Assn. of Cities; George Sparks, administrator of the Pomona Valley Transit Authority; Ralph Nunez, Baldwin Park’s transportation director; Cary Kalscheur, administrative analyst for the city of Covina, and Gus Salazar, human resources director for the city of West Covina.
The League of Women Voters of the East San Gabriel Valley is sponsoring the free event at the West Covina Senior Center, 2501 E. Cortez Ave. from 10 a.m. to noon.
