Harvey Mudd College’s Math Team Places 3rd

The Harvey Mudd College Mathematics Team, represented by Timothy P. Kokesh, Jon H. Leonard and Guy D. Moore, has placed third in the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition, winning $1,500.
The Mathematical Assn. of America administers the six-hour test, which is given on individual college campuses.
Students from 383 colleges and universities in Canada and the United States participated in the competition.
