Funeral services for actor Neville Brand, a war hero who made a film career out of tough-guy roles, will be conducted privately for the immediate family in Sacramento, his daughter, Michelle Beuttel, said Saturday.
Beuttel said the family has requested that any memorial contributions be made to the giver’s charity of choice.
Brand, 71, died Thursday of emphysema in a Sacramento hospital. With him at his death were his wife of 35 years, Rae Brand, and two daughters--Beuttel, of Sacramento, and Katrina Brand of San Diego. Brand also is survived by a third daughter, Toni Raymer, of Chicago, a brother and two sisters and two grandchildren.
