Judge Gray on Legalizing Drugs

It’s no surprise that Gray’s courageous and reasoned advocation of drug legalization was dutifully lambasted by various Orange County officials. This sort of gutless hypocrisy is to be expected from those with personal motivation to sustain the drug war lie.
A great many of us woke up long ago to the realization that not only do restrictions on personal drug use violate the intent of our Constitution and Bill of Rights, drug laws are a direct cause of most of the relentless, indiscriminate and entirely unstoppable crime that infects our time. What’s more, they criminalize a problem--drug addiction--that is medical, not moral, in origin.
