New Image Reports Profit in 1st Quarter

New Image Industries Inc., in a major rebound, reported a first-quarter profit of $600,000, compared with a year-earlier loss of $2.44 million.
In the three months that ended March 31, Canoga Park-based New Image said the latest earnings came on a surge in its revenue, to $4.55 million from $1.82 million a year earlier.
New Image makes computerized equipment that enables dentists, architects and others to show customers “before” and “after” images of their services. The company said its latest gains reflect strong sales of its products to dentists.
