GARDEN GROVE : Teen Fights, Escapes Kidnap Attempt

Authorities are looking for a man who tried to pull a 13-year-old girl into his car but failed after she kicked him in the groin and ran away.
The victim from Anaheim told police she had been walking west on Katella Avenue near Brookhurst Street about 1:10 p.m. Monday when a brown hatchback Ford Pinto passed her and the driver honked his horn.
She continued walking and the same car passed her again and stopped. The driver, described as white, in his 50s and with a mustache, then got out and tried to drag her into the Pinto, Officer Richard Morales said.
The girl was able to fight off her would-be kidnaper and escaped.
