Bigger & Bigger: U2’s “Zoo TV” concert tour of North American arenas ends tonight in Vancouver, but the Irish rockers will be back with bigger things when they hit U.S. stadiums starting this summer. The group is booked into Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Aug. 11 and RFK Stadium in Washington on Aug. 15. No other dates have been announced, but the “Zoo TV--Outside Broadcast” tour will move westward, meaning that the Southern California show--expected to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena or Anaheim Stadium--will be in late September or early October.
