Three men have been charged with stealing more than $91,000 worth of televisions, stereos, compact and laser disc players and other electronic equipment from a San Gabriel store during a midafternoon armed robbery.
Minh Dieu Tram, 21, of Alhambra; Hung Quoc Do, 19, of Monterey Park, and Minh Hang Le, 19, of Rosemead were each charged Tuesday in Los Angeles Municipal Court with robbery, use of a handgun and false imprisonment in conjunction with the April 1 holdup at the Proton Multi-Video Store, San Gabriel Police Lt. Jim Goodman said.
The three men are accused of entering the store, binding the wrists of four employees and a customer, stealing their wallets and jewelry, then ordering them to the floor, Goodman said. The robbers then spent 40 minutes loading merchandise into a store van before they fled in the vehicle.
The empty van was found abandoned in Alhambra the same day, Goodman said.
