COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Andrews’ Three-Run Homer Leads Cypress’ Softball Rout

Nikkanni Andrews had a three-run home run as Cypress defeated Saddleback, 11-0, in an Orange Empire Conference softball game Wednesday in Mission Viejo.
Andrews had three hits and four runs batted in for Cypress (33-14, 14-4), which is a game behind Orange Coast with three to play. Trisha Bokano had two hits and scored two runs for Cypress.
In other Orange Empire Conference softball:
Orange Coast College 10, Irvine Valley 0 (6 innings, mercy rule)--Becky Toler had three hits, scored three runs, and Sam Lutsch had three hits and drove in three runs for host OCC (27-9, 15-3).
Golden West 6, Rancho Santiago 1--Cindy Evans and Stephanie Viola had RBI singles for Golden West (10-24, 5-13).
Fullerton 2, Riverside 1--Angie Guerrero hit a fifth-inning triple to drive in Frances Garcia with the tying run, then scored the winning run on a throwing error. Fullerton is 28-16, 10-8.
In Orange Empire Conference golf:
Saddleback 403, Riverside 423, Cypress 429, Fullerton 441--Medalist John Dauphin shot a two-over 74 for Saddleback (12-0) at Mission Viejo Country Club.
