Countywide : Madera Road Work to Disrupt Traffic

Motorists using Madera Road, Tierra Rejada Road, Los Angeles Avenue and Easy Street in Simi Valley will probably encounter detours and delays during daylight hours Saturday because of a road reconstruction project, city officials said.
If no weather or construction problems occur Saturday, a contractor will apply the final layer of asphalt to the southbound lanes of Madera Road from Cochran Street to Bonita Drive.
The work is part of a $1.5-million project using federal and local funds.
City officials said motorists driving on Tierra Rejada Road and Easy Street could encounter delays of up to two hours while the intersections with Madera Road are being repaved.
They urged motorists to use the Simi Valley and Moorpark freeways as alternative routes west of the city.
