Elliott Eliminated in Ojai Tournament

Nicole Elliott of Dana Hills High School, the Times’ Player of the Year, lost to Ania Blezynski of Thousand Oaks, 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, in a second-round match of the girls’ 18-and-under division of the Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament Thursday.
Blezynski was the runner-up in the girls’ 16-and-under division in last week’s Easter Bowl tournament in Miami.
Page Bartelt of Mission Viejo and Amanda Parson of Santa Ana each won two matches to advance to today’s round of 16.
