A 34-year-old former Simi Valley man was extradited to California from Arizona after Simi Valley detectives arrested him on suspicion of child molestation, police said Friday.
Simi Valley investigators went to Bullhead City last week and arrested Jerry Newcomb, police said. He was extradited Thursday to Ventura County and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. His arraignment is Thursday.
Newcomb is suspected of molesting a 12-year-old Simi Valley girl in February while he was living in Simi Valley, police said. The incident was not reported until April, police said.
Police said Newcomb is suspected of establishing relationships with numerous girls between the ages of 12 and 18 by calling random telephone numbers and then maintaining ongoing phone relationships.
