San Clemente’s Roditi Advances at Ojai Tennis

Top-seeded David Roditi of San Clemente High was among 10 Orange County players reaching the semifinals of various divisions of the Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament.

Roditi advanced in the boys’ interscholastic singles after winning twice Friday.

Also reaching the semifinals were Trenton Rhodes and Brian Walden of Corona del Mar High in the boys’ interscholastic doubles, Erika Asmuss and Jocelyn Cruz of La Palma in the girls’ 18 doubles, Jakub Pietrowski of Huntington Beach in the boys’ 16 singles, Brandi Freundenberg of Orange in the girls’ 16 singles, John Downer and Christian Fernandez of San Clemente in the boys’ 16 doubles and Geoff Abrams of Newport Beach in the boys’ 14 singles.

In the girls’ 18 singles, Page Bartelt of Mission Viejo defaulted her quarterfinal match against Nikki Willette of San Diego, after eliminating Annie Yang of Cupertino, 6-3, 6-1, in the third round.
