A man who died of natural causes in a Ventura park restroom has been identified as Craig Steinhauer of Ventura, the county coroner’s office said.
Steinhauer was identified by a former employer who read a description of him in a newspaper, investigator Zelmira Isaac of the coroner’s office said.
The body of the 46-year-old man was discovered Thursday in a public restroom at Plaza Park. Steinhauer was not carrying identification, authorities said.
An autopsy determined that Steinhauer had a massive heart attack about a week before having a second attack that proved to be fatal, said Craig Stevens, a senior deputy coroner.
