A fire in an underground utility vault cut power to about 3,200 homes in Granada Hills on Saturday night, Department of Water and Power officials said.
The blaze broke out about 7:30 p.m. in a vault that holds power lines near Meadowlark and Jolette avenues, south of O’Melveny Park, DWP spokeswoman Dorothy Jensen said.
Power was out for at least 90 minutes.
The fire was quickly extinguished. The cause was being investigated.
