Verdict Against SIS Officers

In response to “Lawyer Bills City in Police Suit: $987,684,” April 9:
The bizarre findings of the jury are bad enough, but the attorney’s outrageous bill of $987,684 for obtaining a $44,000 award for the criminal plaintiff is totally without merit.
God help society if we are to be held hostage by predatory attorneys who feed on the naivete of jurors and the misfortune of honest citizens.
This claim should be treated for what it is, a fraud perpetrated against the people of Los Angeles.
