Road Work Ahead

A. Traffic will be delayed on some Chula Vista streets because of an asphalt overlay project. On Monday, crews will work on 5th Avenue south of L Street. On Tuesday and Wednesday, asphalt crews will work on Pepper Tree Road. Crews will also be at Bonita Road, from Plaza Bonita Road to East Flower Street. On Thursday, asphalt work will be done on Hilltop Drive, between Telegraph Canyon Road and L Street, and on L Street between Hilltop Drive and Helix Avenue. On Friday, the work on L Street will continue.

B. Traffic on the westbound lanes of Interstate 8 between College Avenue and Interstate 15 will be slow due to an ongoing traffic project.

C. In National City, traffic will be congested at Highland Avenue and Delta Street periodically throughout the week as a new traffic signal is installed.

D. In La Mesa, improvements on the median strip on Fletcher Parkway east of Grossmont Boulevard will slow traffic throughout the week.

E. In La Jolla, traffic may slow at times due to the closing of parking lanes. The parking lane on Coast Boulevard near Prospect Street will be closed until Sept. 1. The parking lane on Girard Avenue, between Silverado Street and Kline Street, will be closed until May 1.

F. In the Golden Hill area, traffic on 32nd Street at J Street may slow due to a lane closure, until May 5.
