World IN BRIEF : AZERBAIJAN : 16 Reported Killed in Karabakh Fighting

Azerbaijani and Armenian forces in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region exchanged artillery fire, killing at least 16 people, news agencies and television said. The Azerbaijan Defense Ministry charged Armenians with using shells containing fragments laced with cyanide in an attack on the city of Shusha, just inside Karabakh, Russia’s Itar-Tass news agency reported. But Armenia denied the accusation.
