Campaigner for Rose

Thank you for publishing that wonderful tribute to one of the most compassionate and courageous people that I have ever met: Rose Castaneda (“Unlikely Path to Success Paved by a Gift for Caring About People,” Times Valley Edition, April 13).

I am deeply grateful to Rose for her spunky intercession in a frustrating immigration problem endured by my Filipina wife. During several hours at Howard Berman’s Valley headquarters, I also had ample opportunity to observe her helping many others with difficult problems.

Please, Rose, run for public office. I’d walk precincts on bloody stumps to tell voters what a wonderful person you are.
