DIFFERENT BALL: The Los Angeles Rams are confident that the players they picked up in this week’s college draft will help improve last season’s agonizing 3-13 record (C1). But can these guys play basketball? . . . The Rams really do have a basketball team. They play Saturday night against faculty and staff at Rancho Santiago College to raise scholarship money. Rams stars include quarterback Jim Everett, Buford McGee and Robert Delpino.
