WORLDLY MESSAGE: The Student Coalition for a Better Planet at Orange Coast College is making anti-drug messages through animated commercials. And where on the planet did they hire their artists? In the Ukraine. . . . Student leader Scott Price explains that one reason is that Kiev artists will make 30-second commercials for $3,500--that compares to $1,000-per-second in the U.S. But because of language barriers, Price says, “a lot of times when we’re trying to get our message across, it’s easier” to send drawings.
