Raytheon Offers Early Retirement: Raytheon Co., the nation’s largest missile maker, said it is offering early retirement to 4,000 workers in its government defense business. The Lexington, Mass.-based company said the program will be offered at 20 locations in five states. The company makes the Patriot, Sparrow and Hawk weapons systems and is the largest factory employer in Massachusetts, with a work force of 71,300.
