European Jobless Figure Stays at 9.2%

LUXEMBOURG — The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the European Community was 9.2% in February, unchanged from the previous month, the EC statistics office Eurostat said.
The rate in February for workers below age 25 was 18.2%, compared to 7.3% among people 25 and over. It was also higher for women (11.3%) than for men (7.7%).
