In response to “Bill Cosby--Father Who Did Know Best,” by William Raspberry, Commentary, April 21:
It’s great to read that someone else appreciates “The Cosby Show.” Viewers need to realize that African-Americans are not all gang members, drug dealers, poor and homeless. For the majority of African-Americans, the TV series was “black enough,” and it will be greatly missed.
Maybe through “The Cosby Show” television producers, as well as newspaper reporters, will wake up and notice African-Americans are capable of being successful; even outside of professional sports.
It would be nice if African-Americans could find positive stories written about ourselves in newspapers.
Is this possible?
