Hause Pitches Perfect Game

Brendan Hause of Mira Mesa needed only 74 pitches Tuesday to become the first San Diego County pitcher this season to throw a perfect game.
Hause’s gem--complete with 12 strikeouts, eight groundouts and only one fly ball--lifted the visiting Marauders to a 12-0 victory over Point Loma in a City Eastern League game.
“I think he was probably in better control of his pitches than I’ve ever seen him,” Coach Mike Prosser said of Hause. “He’s getting into mid-season form, no doubt about it.”
With his first high school no-hitter, Hause improved to 8-1 with 83 strikeouts.
On offense, Coleman Mullin led the Marauders (16-4, 5-0) with three hits and an RBI. Point Loma fell to 9-11-1, 2-3.
