Ending the Silence: Oprah Winfrey, who has talked publicly about her own experience with child abuse, will host “Scared Silent: Exposing and Ending Child Abuse,” to be broadcast simultaneously on CBS, NBC and PBS on Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. The special will focus on methods of stopping and preventing child abuse. Arnold Shapiro (“Scared Straight,” “Rescue 911”) is executive producer.
