Competitiveness

Considering the source, the anti-Administration tirade by Nancy Watzman and Christine Triano, “Defund Quayle’s Autocratic Competitiveness Council” (Commentary, June 24), is not unexpected.

Now the authors should apply their talents to a positive plan for improving competitiveness. Perhaps they should start with a poll of business managers of small, medium and large firms. The first question would be, how much is spent on product innovation and operating efficiency compared to regulations and tax matters?
